Thumbstopper: Jordy says goodbye to summer in ‘Feel Right Now’

Words: Dylan Murphy

Stop scrolling – Thumbstopper is the must listen to song of the day. Today, Essex-based rapper Jordy is soundtracking post pandemic glow ups with his Amapiano tinged hit ‘Feel Right Now‘.

Quite often, the rising artists that hit the sweet spot between respective audiences know to pay homage without keeping their eyes fixed on the rear view. Jordy caught attention with his debut seven track EP SMH and in his latest video for ‘Feel Right Now’ he’s gave a nod to hip hop innovators whilst embracing the wave of amapiano music taking over the globe.

The video shot at a party and directed by Otis Dominque sees the UK MC play each character in his band in a nod to the wackiness of Outkast’s ‘Hey Ya’ in a visual that’s swimming in dreamy aesthetics.

It comes after Jordy’s debut EP SMH and ahead of his headline show in October.
