Thundercat shares a new track from forthcoming album

He follows up ‘Show You The Way’ with a new one.

Thundercat, the bass connoisseur responsible for the licks on Kendrick Lamar’s ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ recently announced his latest album, ‘Drunk’, and Kendrick’s repaying the favour by featuring on it.

As well as Kendrick Lamar, the album will feature Flying Lotus, Pharrell, Michael Mcdonald, Kenny Loggins, Wiz Khalifa and Kamasi Washington.

The album will come out February 24, and is described as a “23-track epic journey into the often hilarious, sometimes dark mind of the Grammy-winning singer/bassist”.

Our first taster of the album came in the form of ‘Show You The Way’, an easy listener featuring ex-Doobie Brother Michael McDonald, and ‘Danger Zone‘ singer Kenny Loggins.

Thundercat takes his live show to Dublin’s Vicar Street on March 27th, pick up tickets here.
