Here’s a little catch up on what went on since Friday.
It was a sad weekend for disco, as Joni Sledge of legendary group Sister Sledge passed away. We had the utmost pleasure of interviewing Joni Sledge in June of 2015, who imparted just a small bit of her musical knowledge on us.
“Nobody is exempt from the dance floor. Disco is a genre that ultimately brought people of different creeds and colours together. It’s about the freedom to express who you are without any excuses and to forget the stresses and strains of the day.”

Frank Ocean closed out his second Beats 1 radio show with a brand new track. ‘Chanel’ is now available on all platforms, but he also released a version featuring A$AP Mob’s leading light.

The trio kicked off their latest album’s live tour with a seven day residency at London’s Brixton Academy. The weeklong series of gigs has also featured appearances from Floating Points, Kelela, Cat Power, and the London Contemporary Orchestra.
