Bill introduced in Vermont to permit emojis on license plates

Fiat 500 twitter are going to have a ball if this passes…

It’s been revealed that a democrat has introduced a new bill into the Vermont House of Representatives aiming to allow emojis on state license plates.

Rebecca White introduced the legislation that intends to permit drivers to choose from a selection of  six emojis.

There’s still no confirmation of who would design the pictures and what the price of the special plates will be. As stated in Hypebeast if the bill is signed into law it will be the first of its kind in America. Queensland in Australia is ahead of the curve, with its citizen having been allowed to add emojis to their number plates since 2019.

You can find the draft bill here.
