Body & Soul: Jon Hopkins announces opening night set

Words: Dylan Murphy

The DJ and producer will also take part in a live panel event in the festival’s Woodland Stage on the role of Psychedelics in creating deeper connections.

Body & Soul are going hard with the announcements this week. Having revealed the Hennessy stage, they’ve now shared news that Jon Hopkins will play a special set at midnight on the opening night of the festival.

It marks his first Irish festival performance of the summer and sees him bring the sounds of his most recent album Music for Psychedelic Therapy to a specially designed geodesic dome.

Before the performance, the producer will partake in a live conversation with Dr Sam Gandy of the Centre for Psychedelic Research at Imperial College London and Irish Shaman, John Cantwell, about the impact of psychedelics on wellness and creating deeper connections.
