The two stations will be swapping a day’s worth of programming to share the other station’s content and reveal it to a whole new audience.
The idea behind it is to also help drive collaboration between freeform radio stations with the similar ideas and format, and to celebrate community-based digital radio.
Both are run not for profit and work on a volunteer basis to showcase new talent, so it makes sense for them to team up to spread the good word.
Dublin Digital Radio will broadcast 15 hours of Subcity shows starting at 9am GMT on March 26, from its own website, and Subcity will be doing the exact same thing, only the other way round.
