Save the planet, sink some pints and swap some clothes this weekend!

Every Thursday at District we’ll be curating a selection of unmissable events in Dublin ahead of the coming weekend. Whether you have an appetite for thumping techno or are craving some hip hop classics we have you covered.

This weekend we have an eclectic showcase courtesy of Squish, the opening of dog-friendly bar BrewDog, a clothes swap shop and a pint-fuelled event to encourage sustainable thinking.

Friday 13 December

Squish. #2 – Drop Dead Twice – 20.00 – 02.00

Squish is back for another dose of mayhem.
This time they’ve upped the ante. Bringing together some of the country’s best talent under one roof, there will be a number of crazy collaborative sets.

BrewDog Outpost Dublin – Official Opening – 12.00 – 00.00

BrewDog will open its doors on Friday 13 December at 12.00.

The newest bar is kitted out with a 5hl brewkit and two bars with 20 taps each. The bar is dog-friendly and is located at the end of Capital Dock. The first 100 people inside will have their chance to win:

· Year Free Beer

· Trip for two to the Source of our beer in Ellon, Scotland

· Beer Schools

If you ask for a Guinness you’ll get a pint of Jet Black Heart on them!

GreenHouse is an Irish collective merging music and sustainability. Native Events’ resident DJs, GreenHouse mixes music and environmental activism to create the perfect blend of conscious debauchery. For their first outing in The Bernard Shaw they have the GreenHouse DJs on hand to provide the tunes all night.

Following one of the stand-out performances at Life 19, Index welcome Croyden selector Skream back to Irish shores for all night affair.

The Croydon DJ and producer is hands down one of the most diverse and skilled selectors in the game at the moment, with regular appearances alongside everyone from Disclosure to Eats Everything.

Swap Shop Sundays – Wigwam – 13.00 – 15.30

Swap Shop Sundays will return to the basement of Wigwam for their final swap of 2019. On top of the regular clothes swapping there will be a live podcast featuring Anna Duke, the faces behind Sustainable Fashion Dublin and the woman behind the infamous duvet puffer jacket: Rachel Maguire! The panel will take place from 1.00-1.30 sharp.

If you like pints and are terrified about climate change you are in luck. Bellobar are hosting a night and all proceeds go to Friends of The Earth Ireland and they’ll be giving tips on how to do your part.

Performances on the night from Mark Wolfson, Beaufort Dyke, Myopia and some very, very special guests.
