Words: Katie Gartland

It’s once in a blue moon for this year’s spooky season.

On Saturday there will be the first full moon on Halloween since 1955. It will also blue a very rare blue moon.

A blue moon is when two full moons occur in the same month. The last blue moon happened in 2018, the next after tomorrow is expected for 2023.

According to Astronomy Ireland, Venus will also have moved to become closer to the moon, however, will not be visible to the naked eye.
