Hare Squead share new video for ‘Pure’ from forthcoming EP

“We recorded it in a haunted studio in a village in Ireland where Michael Jackson used to record.”

Fresh off a support slot with GoldLink, who featured a remix of their track ‘Herside Story‘ on his album back in March, Hare Squead have released some new material.

The trans-Atlantic connection doesn’t stop with GoldLink either, as the new video was premiered on The Fader. In an interview with the magazine, the group said ‘Pure’ is a little more serious.

“We recorded it in a haunted studio in a village in Ireland where Michael Jackson used to record. We were very inspired by old antiques and eerie fields and that had a play on the whole vibe of the track. The meaning of the track is something personal, each of us has a different interpretation. Overall, we could say the meaning of the song is about how fresh love and pure intentions get twisted and messed up as we struggle and fail to understand one another. It’s not a summer song. Play it on that one day it rains in the summer.”

Watch the video below and keep an eye out for their new EP ‘Season 2’ slated to drop on July 28.
