K Pop fans hijack conservative’s #ImpeachBidenNow Hashtag

Words: Dylan Murphy

You love to see it.

For all the online slander they get, K-pop fans have done something good today. Pro-Trump supporters tried retaliating against Joe Biden’s recent inauguration by using the hashtag #ImpeachBidenNow. However, they have now been completely drowned out by K-pop stans who have hijacked the hashtag.

It comes seven months after K-pop fans did the same with the #WhiteLivesMatter hashtag to silence racist tweets on our feeds.

It comes after republican congressperson Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said on Twitter, “I’ve just filed articles of impeachment on president Joe Biden, we will see how this goes,” she wrote. “President Joe Biden is unfit to hold the office of the presidency. His pattern of abuse of power as President Obama’s vice president is lengthy and disturbing.”

Responding to the flood of insufferable Trump supporters online, K-pop stans mobilised and took over the hashtag with Fan Cams and other K-pop content.

Predictably, Twitter users reacted well to the news:
