Lunice drops long awaited debut album ‘CCLX’ with Denzel Curry & more

Lunice is back to release his first full length LP ‘CCLX’ on LuckyMe records.

It’s been a long five years since Montréal-based producer Lunice put out his last release, but he’s now returned to the LuckyMe label and enlisted the help of some big name talent. Mike Dean, Denzel Curry, Le1f and more all feature on ‘CCLX’ (pronounced 360).

Lunice, who is known for the bass heavy, trap sound, especially in his famous collaborations with fellow Red Bull Music Academy alumni Hudson Mohawke as TNGHT, has stayed true to his trap roots. However, he’s also built more experimental soundscapes around the thunderous drums and crisp snares.

Keeping up with the more ecclectic aspects of the album, the features on ‘CCLX’ aren’t your typical verse/ hook/verse with tracks such as ‘Elevated’ waiting over two minutes in build up to bring in CJ Flemings and King Mez.

There are some stellar rap performances from Denzel Curry and Le1f and brilliant production collaborations from SOPHIE of PC Music.
