‘Win like Kings! Eat like Kings’

Narolane crew celebrate Denise Chaila’s Choice Prize win in style. The record label made up of Irish hip-hop titians, MuRli, God Knows and Chaila, who celebrated her RTÉ Choice Prize Album of the Year win for her mixtape Go Bravely yesterday with some of Limerick’s finest cuisine. Shortly after Chaila’s win God Knows shared a video featuring a box of Chicken Hut goodness. “Win like Kings! Eats like them too!” God Knows wrote.

As Chicken Hut’s tagline “Simply the best around!” would lead you to believe, the fast-food establishment is certainly a center for deep-fried excellence. Bonus points to God Knows for consuming Chicken Hut products between the loving embrace of some Brennan’s Bread yellow pan (as seen in the left-hand corner of the video).

Not resting on one of their numbers’ Choice Music Prize laurels, the trio have released a new track ‘Water’ today. The hypnotic and infectious anthem that they have described as a “baptism”.

Speaking on the track they said, “The narrative of suffering as being inherent to Blackness is a stain on the spirit. Sometimes, to challenge toxicity, you must call it out, reclaim who you are, reconnect with the truth and wash yourself free to breathe, ” say the founders. “When we believe in our joy, we are cleansing off the lies of oppression, of inferiority, of dehumanisation and poverty – and exchanging them for the truth of the life within us.”
