Gatherings of up to 200 people will be permitted alongside live music, subject to relevant public health guidance.
Following the controversy of the event organised by Katherine Zappone at the Merrion Hotel in Dublin, Fáilte Ireland has updated its guidance including a new section on outdoor events.
It’s been revealed that outdoor events will be permitted in areas where “robust protective measures” are in place, under new guidelines shared today.
The guidelines state that, “Overall capacity will depend on the size of the outdoor event area where customers will be seated”.
Additionally, the updated guidelines permit live music and other outdoor performances in hospitality settings, with events capped at 200 people. Multiple tables can also be booked in an outdoor area, but no intermingling between the tables is allowed.
Attendees at events will be required to wear face coverings when moving around outdoor dining areas.
