Wigwam to host ‘Move your body for MS’, in aid of vital treatment

Get down to Wigwam for a mega night of house and disco and do your bit for a good cause.

21 year old Shauna Costello is part of a fund raising team aiming to reach the goal of 50,000 euro to facilitate a vital treatment for her aunt. Shauna’s aunt was diagnosed with Progressive-Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis (PRMS). A rare form of MS (5%), PRMS is characterised by a steadily worsening disease state from the beginning, with acute relapses but no remissions. Sinéad has been extremely brave in dealing with her illness, she continued to work and care for her kids. Unfortunately, over the last few months her symptoms have drastically worsened.

In order to get the treatment she needs, money needs to be raised for her to go to Mexico for Chemotherapy with stem cell treatment (HSCT). This whole process will cost at least 50,000 euro to do, as the treatment is not available in Ireland or in the UK. Additional costs are needed on her return she will need to be off work for a year and pay privately for medical care.

In their quest to raise the funding, Shauna has organised a killer night of music in Wigwam, Abbey Street, Dublin. Taking place on the 13 February 2020, the event will include a number of household names. KAYCEE, KAILY, SARAH MOONEY, GEORGE FEELY & DJ DEECE will all be on hand to help raise the roof for a good cause.

All money raised on the night goes directly to Sinéad’s treatment.
