Your favourite artists are showing their glow-up on Twitter

Words: Staff Writer

From yearbook quotes to studio sessions with their idols, these artists are sharing their journeys in pictures.

Over the past week, people have been taking part in the “How it started: How it’s going” trend on Twitter. It’s been a wholesome way of showing what years of hard work and dedication can do.

Everyone from athletes to scientists have been sharing images from their past alongside a more recent one to put their journey into perspective. Artists joined in too and here are some of our favourites:

Cordae (FKA YBN Cordae) shared a picture from what appears to be his elementary school year book. “Most likely to be famous” was an apt prediction.

The North Carolina spitter shared an accompanying image with him and none other than Dr Dre.

Guapdad 4000 went from Pokémon plushes to the best durag to ever grace the Grammys.

London rapper Ché Lingo recently signed to Idris Elba’s record label. It may appear like he’s came out of nowhere, but the ‘T.R.I.P’ spitter has been grinding for years. . He’s shared an image from an early show alongside a recent billboard in his hometown.

There aren’t many with a rise as meteoric as Lil Nas X in the past decade.

You love to see it.

The vibes are immaculate.

Young MA has come a long way from cassette players to Times Square billboards. She’s got some gold plaques to match too.
