What’s in your bag for the Easter weekend?
District has asked its audience what essential items they’re carrying around this week. From concert tickets to stylish bits, here’s your guide to what’s up and coming in the capital.
5. Pins from Deadly.ie
Ran by the “pin king of Finglas”, Deadly.ie has plenty of iconic pins to accessorize any jacket or bag. This Claddagh ring pin caught our eye as a must-have for any Dubliner.
Traditionally an Irish symbol of love, the centre is usually a heart, but Deadly knows what it should be. A delicious, creamy pint.
You can check out this pin on their website.
4. Tickets to Artists Amplify Ukraine
Including 20 minute sets from many Irish artists in support of UNICEF, tonight’s gig in Workman’s is not to be missed. Presented by Amplify Agency, this very special night aims to raise 10,000 euro – all of the artists are performing free of charge with tickets costing 21.50 euro.
20 euro of each ticket sold will be donated to help children affected by the war in Ukraine. Artists Amplify Ukraine has also teamed up with Dublin Shirt Co. to produce 100 limited edition t-shirts, designed by Aaron Fahy, that will be for sale as part of a bundle on Tickets.ie and on the night while stock lasts.
Some tickets are still available, you can grab one here.
3. A piece from Greens Are Good For You
As summer approaches, you may have a wedding or confirmation or two coming up. Perhaps even a fancy event with work? If you’re looking to wear something absolutely fabulous but don’t want to contribute to fast fashion or empty your bank account you can rent a designer piece from Greens Are Good For You.

2. A booking to Bow Lane’s Bottomless Brunch
There’s nothing like ringing in the bank holiday weekend with a boozy brunch. Every weekend Bow Lane Social Club runs a delicious brunch and its only 25 euro for bottomless drinks.
Every third week. the club features a drag show along with their brunch sessions. For more information, click here.
1. Something from Too Good To Go
Too Good To Go is all about fighting food waste. The company was founded in Denmark in 2015, connecting people through their app to cheap surplus food, and has saved 29 million meals since its launch in 2015.
For a reduced amount, customers can pay for a surprise bag of food that restaurants, supermarkets, or cafés would have otherwise thrown out. It’s a great solution to the frightening amount of food waste thrown away each year, which according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), totals 150kg per Irish household.
If you’re looking to have a spontaneous picnic during the bank holiday weekend, this is the service for you.
