We couldn’t let some of our favourite things from the past month fall through the cracks. From bicycle clubs to wrestling rappers, here’s just a few of the highlights worth paying attention to.
DJ Shampain x Slaughterthouse Screening
DJ Shampain is teaming up with Slaughterhouse as part of Bram Stoker Festival to reimagine a screening of the 1926 classic horror film Faust. On Saturday 28 October, the nearly hundred-year-old horror will be resurrected with a brand new score, taking Irish ownership over Halloween once more.

Don’t Say Damn Cycle Club
Collective Don’t Say Damn are kicking off their cycle club this Friday at 17:00. No better way to take advantage of this peculiar October weather than to grab a bike and ride around the city. Accompanied by film screenings, listening parties, picnics and more, it’s a fantastic alternative to pints down the pub.
Clash at the Quays
One of the most inventive and impressive evenings of music Dublin has seen in a while. Who would’ve thought that hip hop and wrestling would work so well? As part of Dublin Fringe Festival, some of our favourite artists took to the ring to battle it out alongside real wrestlers for an exhilarating evening like no other
Aby Coulibaly’s Newest EP
We have been waiting for this one. 2023 has been Aby’s year, drop after drop falling gracefully on our ears and finally culminating in an exceptional project. It’s one of those projects that just gets you excited for the future. Irish RnB is in safe hands.
Gliders Drop Inbound
Gliders drop is imminent. Paired with the drop announcement was the line “Who’s ready to reside in the sky?” and what we’ve seen so far has us floating. That reversible ‘Skyscraper’ denim jacket is an absolute beauty.
Sekou At Other Voices
If you don’t know, get to know. Sekou recently made his Irish debut performing at OtherVoices at UCC in Cork. We got to sit down wit the 19-year-old British artist to talk about him selling out two listening parties, being flown out to LA by Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak and being signed by a major label, all before dropping a track. Fly State’s Newest Line
Following on from their rebrand, Fly State are taking inspiration from the neon lighting of the underground for their newest clothing drop. Championing the quiet kids and accompanied by a stunning photoshoot, their newest line is aiming to “break the fourth wall of individualism”.
