An Post Pop Up Café Is Giving Away Coffee This Friday

Take a moment and connect with yourself.

If you’re in need of a (free!) caffeine boost this Friday, March 28th, An Post and Tang have got you. They’re teaming up to give Dubliners what they need: a free cup of coffee with a wholesome touch of self-reflection.

This is part of An Post’s ‘Letter To My Future Self’ campaign, a project aimed at encouraging people to slow down and connect with themselves in a meaningful way. To get your free cup of coffee, all you have to do is head down to Tang, Cumberland Street, between 9am and midday and write a letter to your future self. You can post the letter for free with An Post and, one year from now, they will be sent back to your home address, as a way to capture your current mindset, hopes, and dreams. This is a chance to reflect on where you are now, and dream about where you might be in the future.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably seen the viral TikTok trend where creators stage skits meeting their younger selves for a coffee, musing on their own changed attitudes, appearance and mindset. An Post are taking this trend into the real world, allowing people a tangible handwritten moment of nostalgia and reflection.

If you loved this trend, setting personal goals, or even just free coffee, this event is for you. Whether you’re a student looking for a break from the library, just passing through, or simply someone who could do with a quick mindful moment, this initiative is well worth checking out.

Photos taken at this event may be published online, on social media, or other platforms. By attending you agree to this.
