Anseo Anois: Beamish Are Taking Over Anseo For Two Nights Of Local Talent

Anseo Anois – right here and right now. On October 25th and 26th, Anseo will become a Beamish hotspot as homegrown music is set to rain down on attendees, with some free pints in the mix too. The first 25 people through the door with a ticket each evening will receive a complimentary Anseo Anois t-shirt. Tickets are only a fiver (plus a small booking fee) and you can grab them here.

Anseo has long been a hub where local creativity has thrived. The establishment has cultivated a culture of appreciation for grassroots music. Drawing on this, Beamish has collaborated with Anseo to bring you Anseo Anois, a weekend of homegrown and grassroots talent with genuine character. The perfect way to spend your October Bank Holiday weekend. DJs downstairs and bands upstairs, it’s a perfect pairing.

25th October

On Saturday night, three bands are set to play upstairs. Mark & Luke open the night with their chaotic sound, drawing on influences from the emo, math rock and hardcore world. They’re followed by Alright Then, a group’s sound with elements of folk, indie and elements of psychedelia. Think Mac DeMarco if he had to navigate being an Irish twentysomething in 2025.

Finishing out the night is Burglar. Pure catharsis distilled into music. These guys are an exciting outfit that we’ve had our eyes on. Brilliant interwining of both male and female vocals over aggressive guitar makes for a truly unique experience, exemplified on their recent ‘Unlucky’ EP.

Downstairs, Lerosa’s left field electronic sound will begin the night behind the decks, followed by T-Wok closing the night out.

26th October

If you missed out on Saturday or just want to fill your banker with bands, then Sunday runs it back again. Three more bands and two more DJs will take over Anseo for your musical satisfaction. Opening the evening is Rufus Coats and Jess Smith. The duo have worked together on multiple releases for over a decade, giving us gravelly vocals and a sound straight from the soul.

Following on is White Sage. Their music is perfectly self-labelled as ‘Dreamwave music to ride your bike to. Engulf yourself in the synth-heavy sounds of this group as you ascend in the upstairs of Anseo.

Finally, closing out Beamish and Anseo’s weekend is The Next New Low. Soft-setting sounds to massage your brain after a hectic weekend. Pulling from 30 years of Irish music pedigree, this Brian Mooney project is a culmination of his previous work with  The Idiots, David Kitt, Wallis Bird, Little Green Cars, Conor O’Brien and Faye O’Rourke.

Downstairs, DJ Conjugal Vizitz kicks off at 18:00, with Boogiemannn taking over from 21:30.

You can grab tickets to Anseo Anois here.
