Beyoncé to share new project ‘RENAISSANCE’ next month

Words: Dylan Murphy

The singer has revealed news of her follow up to 2016’s Lemonade.

It’s been around six years since Beyoncé released her critically-acclaimed album Lemonade. In the period since, she’s released the collaborative record Everything Is Love with her husband Jay-Z and worked on the soundtrack for the Lion King movie. However, now she’s finally shared details on her new forthcoming record.

RENAISSANCE lands on July 29 and alongside the announcement on various streaming platform’s socials, Beyoncé removed her profile picture from her social media accounts in a small and deliberate move to tell everyone “I’m in album rollout mode”.

Fan accounts have been quick to trawl streaming services to source any crumb of information from the record and a quick glance on Apple Music reveals that there are 16 tracks on the album. Elsewhere, it’s stated on the posts that the project includes “act i”, which would suggest there is more to share after the initial release.

2022 is shaping up to be a year full of huge releases and this has the potential to be the biggest of the lot.
