Biig Piig is commemorating the dance floor on ‘Feels Right’

Words: Dylan Murphy

Remember nights out?

In spite of what has been a difficult year, Irish artist Biig Piig has well and truly hit her stride.

Following the release of ‘Don’t Turn Around‘ and the DnB-influenced banger ‘Switch‘, the bilingual NiNE8 Collective member is carving out an instantly-definable style.

Her latest single ‘Feel You‘ merges her pop-sensibilities and confessional songwriting with a dance-inducing instrumental – all without losing any of the relatable charm that’s been everpresent in her music so far.

Reminiscing on the seemingly distant nights out of the past, Biig Piig is simultaenously commemorating the hedonism of the dancefloor and reaffirming her status as one of the most exciting prospects on the rise right now.

On the track she said, “Feels Right’ is a track about the energy of a night out. I miss going out so much. The feeling of letting go and being surrounded by sweaty people; meeting strangers and one-night romances; the tunes and ecstasy. Feel like pure shit just want her back :'(. So we made ‘Feels Right’ with that in mind. The closest we can get to that feeling again right now is writing about it.”
