Blood Orange aka Dev Hynes wrote Blondie’s newest track

At the start of February of the most iconic bands around announced that a whole host of modern songwriters were on board for their new album.

 

Johnny Marr, Sia, Dev Hynes, Charli XCX, Dave Sitek fro TV On The Radio and Nick Valensi of The Strokes have all been brought in as contributors for ‘Pollinator’. The new album by the legendary group is set to arrive on May 5, and they’ve already shared ‘Fun‘.

It’s the 11th studio album by Debbie Harry et al, and the last record worked on in The Magic Shop prior to its closure. They’ve now released a new track called ‘Long Time’, written by Blood Orange, aka Dev Hynes.

In a recent press release they described their forthcoming album as “a riot of sound and musical colour; its 11 tracks represent the continuation of a 40+ year musical conversation that Blondie started.”
