Boiler Room: Watch Aby Coulibaly, JyellowL, Monjola & Gemma Dunleavy’s performances

Words: Dylan Murphy

Jameson brought Boiler Room back to Dublin for a Paddy’s Day Special.

Boiler Room usually hosts the kind of intimate and sweaty performances that we are all missing right now. Having invited Glacial Sounds and Gemma Dunleavy way back in 2015 for the first Irish show, the party-throwing outfit has teamed up with Jameson on its return to Dublin to highlight some of the most exciting talents on the island right now.

Last night saw four acts pushing the envelope of electronic, Rnb and hip hop bring their own unique sauce to the stage. Streamed live, it saw JyellowL perform ahead of his RTÉ Choice Music Prize nomination for album of the year, while Gemma Dunleavy returned after she made the shortlist for song of the year. RnB starlet Aby Coulibaly is one of the most hyped artists in the country right now and she and label mate Monjola flew the flag for Chamomile Records whilst giving viewers a taste of the future of Irish music.
