After three successive back to back sold out shows in the capital, Denzel Curry is coming back.
As an rapper and artist, Denzel Curry ticks just about every box for fans. He’s consistent, he switches up styles without abandoning what makes him great, he loves collaborating and hasn’t compromised his values on his way to the top. He also tours pretty regularly and Irish fans won’t have to wait long for the return of the Florida rapper as he announces his forthcoming headline show in Dublin this Summer. Today, Denzel reveals he’s heading to The Helix on June 26th as part of his European tour.
The news comes after the success of his fifth studio album Melt My Eyez See Your Future in 2022. The record was the first in his post alter-ego era. Having released a string of albums that carried names like Black Metal Terrorist, Aquarius’Killa and more, Denzel retired those characters as he released cuts like ‘Walkin’ and ‘Zatoichi‘. Speaking on the record, he says,
“I like traditional hip hop, I like drum and bass, I like trap, I like poetry, so a lot of that is going to be interwoven in this album including jazz and a lot of genres that I came up on as a kid and just being in my parents’ house. This album is made up of everything that I couldn’t give you on TA13OO or Imperial because I was going through depression anger issues.”
Tickets for Denzel Curry’s show in The Helix start at €37.05 and go on sale Friday 24 February at 10.00.
