District Conversations Podcast [Eoin McCormack – fine artist]

On this round of our District Conversations podcast, our head podcaster Adam Heaton made his way down to Steambox Studios in The Liberties to meet Eoin Francis McCormack.

A fine artist by trade, Eoin is an Athlone-born, Dublin-based painter, whose defining works have caught eyes in the Irish art scene. Working with large scale canvases, limited colour palettes and often bringing in found objects to create multimedia paintings, he was commissioned last year by Teeling Whiskey to create a piece entitled ‘The Spirit of Dublin’, which now resides in their headquarters in The Liberties.

District’s head podcaster Adam Heaton headed down to Steambox Studios for a chat with Eoin about his artistic background, as well as his upcoming exhibition in collaboration with Damn Fine Print, entitled ‘Elvis Knows’. What does Elvis know? Listen below and find out.

‘Elvis Knows’ takes place this Thursday, August 17th in Frame pop up shop at 53 South William St. For more information and to RSVP click here.
