Dublin artist Kurb Junki will curate exhibition to launch new studio space on Clanbrassil Street

The exhibition will also serve as the launch to one of Dublin’s newest creative spaces.

Even if it wasn’t pissing rain, you get the feeling if the sun did appear it would be blocked out by all the cranes in Dublin at the moment. There’s bad news constantly regarding the closure of creative spaces, clubs and studios, so it’s always heartwarming to hear of a new artistic HQ being established.

Studio 39 at Clanbrassil Street, across the road from MVP, is about to swing open its doors and as “a celebration of the birth of a new creative space in Dublin”, Kurb Junki is bringing together a few friends.

Curated by the multi-media artist, ‘Boon’ will open on September 5 at 6pm in the studio and will showcase 17 artists from different disciplines. Aoife Dunne, Rob Mirolo, Hugh Cooney, Cyan Ryan, Sophia Vigne, James Kirwan, Neil Dunne, Kevin Freeney and loads more will all be involved in the exhibition.

Drinks will be provided by Hennessy during the opening and the show will run until September 8. Click here to register for tickets to the launch party.
