Don’t be a cotton-headed ninny muggins, watch the ‘Elf’ livestream next week.

The cast of the 2003 Christmas film ‘Elf’ are returning for a livestream table read in support of the Georgia Democratic candidates. The main cast, including Will Ferrell, will do a reading of the original screenplay.

An upcoming Senate run-off in Georgia is to take place in January. The original cast from ‘Elf’ are coming together to raise money for the Democratic candidates Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff. The run-off will determine whether the Democrats or Republicans will have power over the US Senate.

The livestream will include the main cast from the Christmas classic. Will Ferrell, Zooey Deschanel, Bob Newhart, Edward Asner, Mary Steenburgen, Amy Sedaris, Andy Richter, Kyle Gass, John Lithgow, Danny Woodburn, Jon Favreau, Ed Helms, Busy Phillips and Matt Walsh will participate in the reading while Ashley Nicole Black will host.

If you’re somehow unaware of the festive film, it follows the story of Buddy The Elf, played by Will Ferrell. Buddy is raised in the North Pole by his adoptive elf father. The film follows Buddy as he travels to New York to find his biological business man father. Buddy does his best to spread Christmas cheer on his hilarious and awkward adventure to the Big Apple.

The film made $226 million in the box office in 2003 and has continued to grow in popularity every year since. It’s a must-see Christmas classic. Zooey Deschanel, who plays Buddy’s love interest, Jovie, in ‘Elf’ has tweeted about her excitement for the live event.

The live-streamed table read will take place on December 13 at 16:00 Eastern Time in America (21:00 Irish Time). Donations will go through Act Blue and onto the Georgia Democratic Party. The suggested donation price is $30 per ticket.
