Erick The Architect shares video for ‘Die 4 U’

Words: Dylan Murphy

One third of Flatbush Zombies, Erick has followed up the release of his Future Proof EP with mellow new visuals.

Erick the Architect has quietly been one of the most influential figures in modern hip hop since he burst onto the scene with Meechy Darko and Zombie Juice as the Flatbush Zombies.

Not only has he produced the trio’s most compelling work, but he’s also rapped his own intricate brand of conscious throughout their catalog.

Last month, Erick shared his solo Future Proof EP, it follows his arcstrumentals tapes and sees him recruit Loyle Carner and Col3trane among others for the body of work.

The new project finds the Architect searching and processing,
a meditation on how we can “future proof” ourselves from what we are experiencing in today’s times and the challenges that lie ahead.

His latest visuals for Die 4 U’ sees him link with Sophie Faith and Linden Jay for a thoughtful effort.

At the tail end of last year, Flatbush Zombies linked up with James Blake for ‘Afterlife‘. It made the top five in our 50 best tracks of 2020, read the full list here.
