Ethereal Skies announce inaugural club night with Dark0

Words: Eva O’Beirne

Ethereal Skies will take over the new Racket Space in the Bernard Shaw on November 18.

Headling the first event of the new project is hyper-melodic music producer, DJ and Year0001 alumni Dark0. Dark0 will be joined by Cork-based DJ Capricorn along with the ‘Ethereal Skies DJs darkmavis and Sean Murray opening with a b2b

London’s Dark0 has become synonymous with creating anthemic club music and story-rich mixes. His rise began in 2014 with a string of EPs on UK-based imprints that explored a cross-section of video game music, grime club tools and electrifying pop.

He has gone on to release two records in 2020 and 2021 on the Swedish Imprint Year0001, a label who is responsible for the rise of artists such as Yung Lean, Viagra Boys, Drain Gang and more.

Capricorn is a Cork-based DJ who formally co-founded the electronic queer party called CXNT. After some time away from the scene living in Germany, she has made an excellent homecoming with recent gigs including support for Bored Lord in Yamamori Tengu with Club Comfort and her international debut at Stereo Glasgow with the party Soilse.

“With Ethereal Skies, we strive to bring a brand new platform dedicated to showcasing experimental club music featuring international and local guests to the Irish club scene in an inclusive party space. With our platform, we will also be hosting a mix series of all our local DJs we will be hosting at our party, as well as plans to expand to a label in the future,” said founder Mark Davis who performs under the name darkmavis.

Tickets for Ethereal Skies presents: Dark0 start at 10 euro. Tickets are on sale now, click here for more information.
