Ezra Williams Shares ‘Until I’m Home’ Ahead of Debut Album

Words: Dylan Murphy

Supernumeraries drops on June 16.

It’s always a good day when Ezra Williams drops. Today, they’ve shared ‘Until I’m Home’, which comes shortly after the release of ‘Bleed’ and ‘Deep Routed’. A four minute comfort blanket for fragile minds, the new track coasts between stripped back guitars and rich synths whilst they reassess a relationship. It’s another in a long line of heartfelt releases from the Cork musician, who has developed a reputation as one of the country’s strongest songwriters.

Having released a string of singles since 2018, Ezra pens their experience from the perspective as someone who is non-binary and on the autism spectrum, giving a voice to often underrepresented people in music.

The song comes ahead of their debut album Supernumeraries, which lands via AWAL on June 16.

Speaking on the track, Ezra says, “I wrote this song on the train home from hanging out with my girlfriend at the time. I overthink everything and cannot be left alone with my own thoughts for a second or I’ll feel like the world is collapsing in on me.”
