Galway Music Lovers: A Huge Weekend of Gigs Is Coming This October Bank Holiday

Are you ready for this? Heineken® GREENLIGHT is heading wesht for one final blowout of its international gigs. After taking over Dublin and Cork earlier this year, it’s now landing in the City of the Tribes from 23-25 October for the final bank holiday weekender of 2026.

If the previous weekenders are anything to go by, Galway is going to be spoiled. Over three nights, the line-up will bring together an eclectic mix of live acts, rappers, and electronic heavyweights including Getdown Services, F3miii, HAAi, Joshua Idehen, Sugabooo and Ahmed, With Love. In a city already known for its culture, the weekend is bringing these big names to audiences who are craving it. And you can get in on the action too. So here’s what’s happening, and how to avoid the biggest FOMO this October bank holiday.

The whole idea behind GREENLIGHT is simple: take the kind of artists you’d usually expect to catch on a festival stage and squeeze them into much more intimate spaces. More than 55 acts have already played across the Dublin and Cork editions this year, and Galway is getting the final round. It’s the perfect way to ease yourself out of festival season as the the autumnal spell starts to loom. So here’s what to expect.

Friday, October 23
Monroes : Joshua Idehan + F3miii

British-born Nigerian spoken-word artist, poet, and musician Joshua Idehen will take to the stage at Monroes on the Friday night, treating us to his optimistic and motivational poetry over a blend of house beats, soul samples and all-round great positive energy. It sits somewhere between a gig, DJ set, and a collective experience.

But we’re not only getting one headliner that night, we’re getting two. And two amazing ones at that. Also on the bill is F3miii, and what a year it has been for the Nigerian-Irish singer, songwriter, and producer. He achieved a huge international breakthrough with his viral single ‘Noble’. Influenced by alternative R&B and soultronic, some say he’s the new Irish Frank Ocean or Kaytranada. You’re really in for a treat with this one.

Saturday, October 24
Electric:  HAAi, Hannah Hession + DIEBYVEG

London based and Australian born electronic DJ, producer, and songwriter HAAi will be lighting up Electric on the Saturday night. Her blend of psychedelic techno, breaks and house is so infectious. This one’s guaranteed to get bodies moving.

Hannah Hession and DieByVeg will be warming up the decks for HAAi on the night. Hannah Hession has already established herself in Galway as a prominent, fast rising electronic producer and promoter. Since 2019, she’s also hosted an electronic music show on Flirt FM, propelling her to play local underground venues like Electric and Pleasure. DIEBYVEG is a DJ and selector from the Irish capital, known for their high energy sets of UK Garage, house, and sultry vocals. Their performances carry a queer influence, which is bound to get the whole room bouncing.

Sunday, October 25
Róisín Dubh: Getdown Services + Sell Everything

They’re high energy, very funny, and the perfect act to see on your bank holiday Sunday. Getdown Services are a groove-infused post-punk and indie-dance duo from Minehead, Somerset. Expect spoken word over funky bass lines inside Galway’s iconic Róisín Dubh that night. If you seen them, you get it. If you haven’t, here’s your chance to see what everyone’s talking about.

On support, is Sell Everything. This Dublin-based indie band really do give it all when performing live. They’re known for blending rock, folk, jazz and R&B with a bit of DIY thrown in for good measure. Between the headline and support, this will be a delivery of musical goods and services you didn’t even know you needed.

An Púcán:  Ahmed, With Love., Sugabooo

They’re two of the most prominent and fastest rising voices in the Irish underground hip-hop scene. Both collaboration kings, Ahmed and Sugaboo have proven that some of the most exciting rap in the world right now is coming out of our own country.

After weekends in Dublin and Cork, Galway gets the honour of closing out Heineken® GREENLIGHT’s 2026 run. Three nights, four venues and big artists in very small rooms. We’ll see you out west. Get your tickets here.
