Words: Eva O’Beirne

Taking place from June 16 to 18 at Glendalough Estate, over 100 acts will perform across the weekend.

Cultural icon Grace Jones joins Thundercat, Jon Hopkins, Leftfield and Hot Chip as the headliners for Beyond the Pale’s 2023 edition of the festival.

The appearance by Jones will be her only appearance at an Irish festival this summer. According to Beyond the Pale, her set will cover the hits of her established career including ‘La Vie En Rose’, ‘Slave to the Rhythm’, “Pull Up to the Bumper’, and ‘Libertango’.

American soul legend Candi Staton was also announced in the latest lineup in her last ever European tour. Other acts announced include Irish duo Saint Sister, For Those I Love, and Afro-Irish singer Tolü Makay.

Oneohtrix Point Never, Ireland’s Max Cooper and Germany’s Christian Löffler are all on hand to provide world-class audiovisual shows.
