Here’s a refresher of the Level 4 and Level 5 of lockdown restrictions before tonight’s Government update
The government will be making an announcement this evening about the country’s next restrictions. It looks like we’ll be heading into somewhere between Level 4 and Level 5. The government are picking which features they’d like to put in place from the five level framework, à la carte if you will.
We won’t know what the exact restrictions will look like until sometime this evening but for now, here’s a reminder of the level 4 and level 5 restrictions:
Level 4:
- No visitors to your home or family gatherings
- Only 6 people may attend a wedding
- No organised in door events
- Only 15 people are allowed at an outdoor organised gathering
- Only individual training or pods of 15 non-contact sports training allowed
- Only specific sports matches are allowed
- Gyms, pools and leisure centres closed
- Only online religious services allowed, 25 people may attend a funeral
- Only outdoor dining of 15 people and takeaway is allowed
- Hotels are open to existing guests and essential purposes
- Essential or outdoor retail may be open
- All museums and other cultural venues are closed
- Only essential workers may attend work, everyone else must work from home
- No travelling outside your county, except for essential work or education
- Public transport capacity is 25%, avoid it if possible
- Schools and childcare will remain open
- Visiting to residential care homes is suspended
- The over 70s and high risk must exercise their own judgement when leaving the home
Level 5:
- No visitors to your home or family gatherings
- Only 6 people may attend a wedding
- No organised indoor or outdoor events allowed
- Individual sports training only
- No matches or sporting events
- Gyms, pools and leisure centres closed
- Only online religious services allowed, 10 people may attend a funeral
- Food services are delivery and takeaway only
- Hotels are open for essential services
- Only essential retail open
- All museums and other cultural venues are closed
- Only essential workers may attend work, everyone else must work from home
- Everyone must stay at home and exercise with 5km of their house
- Public transport capacity is 25%, avoid it if possible
- Schools and childcare will remain open depending on government recommendations
- Visiting to residential care homes is suspended
- The over 70s and high risk must exercise their own judgement when leaving the home
