“Belfast, New York and Let’s Get Killed” featuring David Holmes will take place Sunday 19 March in the Guinness Storehouse.
For this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Festival, I.NY and Guinness Storehouse will explore and celebrate the modern impact and influence of Irish artists and creatives around the world – in particular, the rich and unique relationship between Ireland and New York.
On Sunday 19 March, Belfast-born DJ and producer David Holmes will appear in conversation with RTÉ’s John Kelly for a very special panel talk highlighting the 25th anniversary of his iconic record Let’s Get Killed.
I.NY and Guinness are taking the opportunity to explore and celebrate the story of that defining record, as David himself tells it, along with the career it birthed, what New York City means to him as an artist, and how Belfast, Ireland and New York connect and communicate.
Founded in 2017, I.NY Project explores and celebrates the relationship between Ireland and New York. Drawn by both the modern and historic relationship, I.NY is anchored in personal stories ‐ some well‐known, many unknown ‐ and culminates in the annual I.NY Festival.
After the panel talk, Holmes will be performing a live DJ set with support from Billy Scurry.
The event will kick off from 20:00 on Sunday 19 March in the Guinness Storehouse, with the ‘In Conversation’ section taking place from 20:30 to 21:30. Attendees can expect DJ sets until midnight.
Tickets are free but limited, and available at www.thisisiny.com.
This event is for over 18s only.
Please drink Guinness responsibly.
