IKEA launches a cushioned quilt that you can wear

By Emily Mullen

Perfect for an evening beverage in the park

Never a company to shy away from making bold new products, IKEA has announced their new item, the quillow, will be reaching Irish shores soon. The quillow, as you might have guessed from its melodic name is a beautiful lovechild born from a quilt and a pillow.

While this glorious contraption can be laid on the ground and used as a picnic blanket or rolled up and used as a pillow. FÄLTMAL can also be worn, zipped up in such a way that it sort of resembles a kind of wearable sleeping bag.

IKEA assures us that it is long enough to wrap your entire body in, perfect for an evening time beverage when it’s dark enough for no one to see. There’s also a button fastener in the back, making it amenable for a late-night stroll around in your quillow.

The FÄLTMAL retails at €25 and is part of IKEA’s Summer product launch, which will be online soon.
