Inside the Worldwide Pop-up coming to Urban Outfitters this weekend

Words: Eva O’Beirne

Founded by Matt Ó, the ‘Forever Worldwide’ collection will be available in person this weekend.

Irish streetwear brand Worldwide is hosting a pop-up shop at Urban Outfitters Temple Bar from this Friday 7 – Sunday 9 October.

Worldwide apparel is the latest edition to the growing number of independent streetwear retailers making guest appearances in UO. The pop-up comes straight after Matt’s release of his debut solo EP MESSER.

“I spent a lot of time seeking out certain clothes, trying to find something that would last, and that felt really high quality. When a friend had the idea to partner up on a clothing brand, it just made sense; like why can’t we just make our own wardrobe?” said Matt Ó on the brand.

“I also got really sick of buying clothes online over the pandemic that turned out to be really flimsy, and would need immediate replacement.”

“That’s what Worldwide is to me. Whenever I want something for my own wardrobe, I create it under Worldwide and release it for everyone. As much as I love being an Irish clothing brand and supporting local myself – I don’t want us to be pigeonholed as such. Don’t support us cause we’re local, support us because you like what we make. The clothes should speak for themselves,” he continued.

Urban Outfitters is open from 10:00-19:00 on Friday and Saturday and from 12:00-18:00 on Sunday.
