Irish Gig Of The Week: Junior Brother

Words: Dray Morgan

Jack Daniel’s and District share an authentic love for music culture and we thought who better to team up with to celebrate the best new gigs. Every week, we’re handpicking the must-attend show in the capital, ranging from underground rappers in dimly lit rooms to rising stars on sold-out tours.

Junior Brother will be bringing the goosebumps to The Complex on 28 July with a rich and melancholic acoustic sound.

Junior Brother’s most recent release paired with a cinematic music video that encapsulates his sound perfectly. The humanistic elements to his sound which explores layers of fear, anger and determination leave a lasting mark.

He was named as one of RTÉ’s Rising Irish Stars of 2018, with his first album, Pull The Right Rope being nominated for the Choice Music Prize.

Junior Brother will be performing at The Complex on 28 July with tickets available from 15.00 euro.
