Irish graphic designer shares new print series ‘The Hug’

By Emily Mullen

The range of prints is “something I think we’re all missing these days”

Dublin-based graphic designer Emma Conway has released a range of A3 prints called “The Hug”. The series is just that, a clean design of two individuals hugging in a range of three Instagram-able colours.

The intent of the subject matter is clear, with Conway recommending giving “your pal a hug” while you can’t physically do so. Speaking to District the designer admitted that a hug is “something I think we’re all missing these days”.

A graphic designer by trade, these prints are a new departure for Conway, who hopes to turn this first print run into a series.

Her interest in typography and identity systems has led her to work with Dublin institutions, like the Lighthouse Cinema, Offset, and Temple Bar Gallery + Studios.

Conway’s prints can be purchased directly from her website here.
