Shampain, EMA & More Are Taking Over Irish Venues With Jägermeister’s ‘Save The Night’
Fewer than 100 nightclubs remain in Ireland. 84% have closed in the past 25 years. Save The Night exists to slow that decline. Through events, storytelling and direct investment in emerging talent, Save The Night aims to help build a more resilient future for Irish nightlife.
Pioneered by Jägermeister, the initiative champions local talent, giving artists and collectives the resources to reclaim their city’s nightlife and works to keep the night a space that’s safe, inclusive and sustainable for everyone. It operates on the core belief that “there would be no Jägermeister without nightlife.”
This October, Save The Night heads to Galway, Cork and Dublin for three nights spotlighting some of the most exciting names in Irish electronic music. The roadshow runs alongside a three-part series from District spotlighting the collectives, venues and people rebuilding Irish nightlife.
Alongside the shows, Jägermeister is running its Future Fund. One up- and-coming artist will receive €2,000 to back their next project, plus the opening slot in Dublin a platform to show that the future of Irish nightlife is in safe hands. Throughout October, venues across Galway, Cork and Dublin will be taken over by electronic heavyweights. On October 7, Squeeze, a queer club night collective based in Galway, takes charge of the decks in SULT.
Five days later, on October 12, Cork natives 2hats1usb light up Voodoo Rooms. And finally, on October 21, tastemakers Shampain and EMA will be joined by the Future Fund winner as their opening act in Dublin’s Grand Social.
