Jazz Lovers of Ireland, You Need To Know About This Tour

This 19 – 27 June the Music Network presents Shuteen Erdenebaatar Quartet who will be touring around Ireland; specifically Limerick, Cork, Kerry, Dublin, Wicklow and Donegal.

This will comprise of Shuteen Erdenebaatar on piano, Simon Comté on saxophone, Nils Kugelmann on bass, and Amir Bresler on drums. If you’re in to your jazz, this is a must see. And even if you don’t know who they are, you certainly will after seeing them perform.

Shuteen Erdenebaatar is a Mongolian born award-winning pianist and composer. She grew up as a classical musician, but later began to explore the world of jazz, and we’re so glad she did. From her alternating experience as a musician, she blends classical precision with jazz to create a distinctive music style full of melody and emotion. What’s incredible about her too, is that she’s not just a musician. She is an artist, visionary, and true performer.

She leads three acclaimed projects; her quartet, Duo Lightville, and a 20-piece Chamber Jazz Orchestra. In 2023, she signed a contract for three albums with the multi-Grammy-winning New York label Motema Music. With this, her first album Rising Sun with her quartet was released in 2023, and has received incredible reviews internationally. She released her second recording, a duo album with Nils Kugelmann, in Autumn 2025. And now, she continues to write for her three world-class ensembles. Jazzwise has described her as “one of the most exciting young talents in jazz,” and now you can see her live.
