KNEECAP are caught in a loop in ‘Thart agus Thart’

Words: Dylan Murphy

The Belfast rappers are back with a cut that wrestles with lockdown boredom.

With shows and nightclubs on the brink of returning in both the north and south, being locked down in the gaff feels like an alien concept.

However, as much as we want to forget it, the lack of stimulation and socialising was a very real experience and KNEECAP have captured that very bleak period of time in their new video for ‘Thart agus Thart’. Filmed by Peadar Ó Goill, the video was “Made durin lockdown with fuck all budget” and distills the existential dread of waking up to another day of scrolling your phone into a hypnotic series of clips that accentuate BLVTH’s trance-inducing production.

The video comes after the trio completed their ‘What’s The Story Moaning Tory’ Tour.
