Loah to host Other Voices ‘Dignity’

Words: Dylan Murphy

The unique livestream will celebrate the music and social impact of Bob Dylan on his 80th birthday with a string of live performances.

Other Voices are back with another series of live performances. Teaming up with the U.S. Embassy Dublin’s Creative Minds team to curate a unique live stream, the event will see a number of artists celebrate the music and social impact of none other than Bob Dylan on his 80th birthday.

Hosted by acclaimed Sierra Leonean-Irish singer-songwriter Loah, Dignity will feature songs, spoken word and collaborations.

Acts announced so far include Loah, Mick Flannery, Susan O’Neil and Joseph O’Connor, with many more to be announced.

Named for his song, ‘Dignity’, the event will bring together a wide range of acts to perform songs of Bob Dylan, embracing the power of the music, and introducing an Embassy initiative to promote diversity, inclusion and equality—themes that weave throughout Dylan’s iconic canon.

Dignity will stream live to the world from the U.S. Ambassador’s Residence in Dublin’s Phoenix Park, at 20.00 on Monday 24 May and will be available for free on Other Voices’ YouTube and Facebook platforms.
