Mango X MathMan announce farewell show

Words: Ellen Kenny

The duo are planning their “last rites” at Vicar Street in May 2023.

Standing at the intersection of Dublin’s history of rave culture and the blossoming hip hop scene, Mango X MathMan have been repping the capital in their music since day one. Now, the pair are saying goodbye with a farewell show next year.

Describing the show as a “wake” for MxM, the duo will perform at Vicar Street on May 20, 2023. Tickets went on sale today at 09:00.

“After five great years the time has come to wheel up the Mango X MathMan project,” the pair announced, “There are far too many people we want to thank who’ve helped us throughout the years on our journey and we trust that yiz know who you all are.”

“It’s been an honour and a privilege to rep the Dub and the country through our music and our gigs.”

Mango X MathMan emerged five years ago in Dublin’s burgeoning hip hop scene. From grime anthems such as Badman, to one-night-only pirate radio broadcasts with No Surrender FM, Mango X MathMan have been leading figures in Irish hip hop.
