Words: Ellen Kenny

Having yourself a very Merchy Christmas and get gear from all your favourite Irish artists at The Grand Social.

One Stop Band Shop is returning to The Grand Social this Christmas for their annual artist merch market, Merchy Christmas. Taking place from 11:00 to 18:00 on December 17 and 18, shoppers can find clothes, accessories and more from over 50 Irish singers and bands.

Artists selling their merch include Daithí, Gemma Dunleavy, Aoife Nessa Frances and Nealo. Irish bands offering Christmas gifts include Mango X Mathman, Ispíní na hÉireann, Pillow Queens and Soda Blonde. More artists merch is expected to be announced ahead to the market this December.

Live music is also expected to played at the market. Last year, R. Kitt, Mango X Mathman, Nialler9 and more played at Merchy Christmas.

Entry to the market is free, but attendants are recommended to make a five euro donation to the Simon Community upon arrival. Last year, One Stop Band Shop raised 4,915 euros. Organisers are aiming to raise 10,000 euro this year, with raffles and limited-edition merch kindly donated by the artists taking part across the weekend.
