Words: Dylan Murphy

With the endless onslaught of new music every Friday it’s hard to keep up with all the new releases. We’ve curated the essential new albums and projects out today for you to check out.

Knucks – ALPHA PLACE

London’s Knucks is one of the smoothest in the game right now. A frontrunner in the UK’s jazz-rap scene, he’s released his debut album with features from Stormzy, Lex Amor, Sainte and more.

Jack Harlow – Come Home The Kids Miss You

Jack Harlow is an almost ubiquitous presence on the internet right now. He’s dropped an album with some huge names as he looks to make good on the man of the moment hype.

IDK & KAYTRANADA – Simple.

A whole rap album produced by KAYTRANADA? Inject it into our veins. Maryland’s IDK teams up with the Canadian producer over 8 tracks on Simple.

The Expert & Jermiside – The Overview Effect

The Expert, one half of Choice Prize nominated duo Messiah J & The Expert, teams up with Atlanta rapper Jermiside for a psychedelic hip-hop album influenced by late-60s psych-rock/folk records.

GhostKing Is Dead – And Just Like That…

Hausu Records’ Matthew Xavier Corrigan concludes his work under the Ghostking is Dead alias with a final album before moving onto new ventures.

Blackstar – No Fear of Time

Blackstar’s first album in 24 years is here, but it’s only available through Luminary’s podcasting network, where they host their podcast with Dave Chappelle.
