Words: Dylan Murphy

With the endless onslaught of new music every Friday it’s hard to keep up with all the new releases. We’ve curated the essential new albums and projects out today for you to check out.

Theodor Black – Paradise FM

Young, experimental rapper Theodor Black shares PARADISE FM following the release of his dark and winding single ‘Top Down’. One to watch.

SOAK – If I never know you like this again

Made up of what they call “song-memories”, SOAK’s If I never know you like this again consists of 10 tracks and was largely recorded in Donegal. At just 25 years old, it’s already their third album which arrives via Rough Trade.

Kayleigh Noble – Hot Mess

Returning from a stint in London, Dublin singer and songwriter Kayleigh Noble has teamed up with a host of other up-and-comers from the capital for her Hot Mess EP.

AV Dummy – PORNOVIOLENCE

AV Dummy’s debut album is a 40 minute chokehold that channels their rage into 10 tracks that wade between post-punk, electronic and anything else that takes their fancy.

Rikshaw – Damage Control

After a relative silence, Rikshaw returns with a five track love sick EP to keep listeners ticking over while he prepares further releases.

Boldy James – Killing Nothing

One of the busiest pens in the game, Boldy James links with Rome Streez, Stove God Cooks, CRIMEAPPLE and more on his new record with Real Bad Man.
