New farmers market launches in the Strawberry Beds

By Emily Mullen

The weekly market is operating out of The Wren’s Nest pub

It’s surprising that a place as idyllic as the Strawberry Beds has gone so long without a Farmers Market. The leafy surrounds and the river Liffey flowing past practically screams for stalls and artisan produce. Luckily The Wren’s Nest pub has stepped in to further cement the Strawberry Beds as the most picturesque place in Dublin. The pub has created a little market to the side of its premises, which will take place each Sunday. Publicans are on hand with takeaway pints, while grub is provided by TacoMan, and treats from Magnolia Road Cakes, alongside fresh fruit and veg stalls.

Aiming to promote “everything green” The Wren’s Nest has asked punters from the Chapelizod-surrounds to “please walk or cycle down as parking will be at a premium”.

With its first market taking place last week, the weekly market is due to take place in the same spot each Sunday from 11 am-3 pm. For more information check out The Wren’s Nest’s Instagram.
