PHOENO share debut single ‘ALIVE’

Words: Dylan Murphy

Two years in the making, the pair have made their opening statement with an anthemic number.

Adam Matthews and Liam Corbett aka PHOENO have released their debut single ‘Alive’. Procuring their sound over a number of years, ‘ALIVE’ is the result of time spent peeling back the layers of their own personal tribulations in search of accessing their own truths.

Speaking on the song PHOENO said, “We write songs out of our own necessity… there is an urgency in the expression.”

When their debut single and forthcoming releases started to come together in 2019, they found themselves taking the path less travelled and forgoing their previous approaches and ingrained structures. Instead, the pair found peace in the magnetic sonic landscapes that would form the bedrock of their new sound.
