The Richie’s Chicken Finger x Burger Boy container opens in Harold’s Cross on Friday, 29 April at 13:00

MMA mates Richie Smullen, owner of Richie’s Chicken Fingers and Rian O’Flaherty of Burger Boy train together every day and have now teamed up professionally for a collaboration at Mend’s food court in Harold’s Cross. From next week you’ll also be able to find them on Deliveroo.

Both of the lads are new to Dublin. Burger Boy has been set up at Kildare Outlet Village for the past four years. Richie’s Chicken Fingers, however, is a new startup fried chicken joint specialising in chicken fingers.

All summer, the collab will be located at Mend HX in their growing food court. They’ll be open from 13:00 – 21:00 Sunday to Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, they’ll extend their closing time to 22:30 and remain closed on Mondays.

The team will be doing delivery and collection. Thre are plans for “curbside pick up” for cars pulling in. But they’re also going to be doing BYOB on Thursdays and hope to bring some exciting, fun stuff to the area.

The Richie’s Chicken Finger x Burger Boy menu includes The Waffle Combo, which comes with three chicken fingers, a Belgian waffle, hot honey, and a beverage of your choice. Despite the chicken and burger theme, the team has come out with a good few desserts, including banana pudding, pecan pie, apple pie, and chocolate cake.

Richie said: “I’m really excited for everyone to see our menu. It’s two amazing brands under one roof, so the offering is amazing. You’ll ever try the best chicken fingers with authentic smash burgers made with Martin’s famous potato rolls & custom burger boy pucks made by F.X. Buckleys just for us.”
