‘Steroids’ is 22 minutes of new Death Grips material

Death Grips have shared ‘Steroids (Crouching Tiger Hidden Gabber Megamix)’ via the band’s Youtube channel, available for stream below. But it’s hard to tell exactly what it is…

It’s frantic, in parts existing freely of any apparent time signatures. It’s easily divided into sections, yet the boarders of each individual motif are difficult to sketch until well into the following movement.

It’s relentless, and well, perhaps it’s best to take a listen for yourself…

The Sacramento natives have also confirmed that they are working on a new album through their Facebook page.

“we’re working on the new death grips album.
but in the meantime, here’s a new track/mix. it’s 22 minutes”

Death Grips last played Dublin in October of 2016 in The Academy. Their album ‘Bottomless Pit’ was released a year ago this month. We’ll keep you posted on the new album as we hear more.
